As you hopefully know, last Friday night I competed in a showcase at Quimby's at 19th; as you may not know, I won! Of course, the reward for work well done is more work, so that means I am returning there this Saturday evening for another performance - and, yes, another competition!
As I said, this is again a competitive showcase, in which again you get to vote for the winner - so I am hoping that you will come and that you will place your vote for me! This time, there are two acts, with the first act (Taylor Williams) performing at 9:00 and 11:00 PM, and the second actt (i.e. yours truly) performing at 10:00 PM and again at Midnight. With this split-set schedule, it means again that those of you who might be catching an earlier show that evening can still catch that show and then head on over to Quimby's to catch my sets! Having now been there before, I can say that the room is great, with good sound and good service, and I'm really excited to be a part of this series and hope to come away again as the winner for the evening - but that won't happen without your help! Once again, the show starts at 9:00 PM, and my sets are at 10:00 PM and Midnight.
This venue also features several kinds of food (not to mention drinks), so, if you haven't been there before (or even if you have), this Saturday night would be a great time to check it out, and hear some great music to boot, so I hope to see you there!
