This promises to be a very cool show, and I'm excited to be appearing at JAX in downtown Portland, where I will be augmenting an art show - featuring the works of Katie m. Berggren and her brother, Kevin Conrad (all the way from Sweden!) - with what promises to be another unforgettable musical performance! (Read on for more info about Katie and her bother, Kevin...)
As children, she colored his detailed pen and ink illustrations. As teens, he painted wall murals while she drew pencil portraits. Later, he painted canvasses while she created digital illustrations. Then, when he had leukemia, she donated the critical bone marrow, and now... Today, both painters, they share a passion for art - while living on two different continents, and on July 3rd, Kevin arrives from Sweden, allowing he and Katie to have their first joint show featuring his three-dimensional oil paintings and her acrylic paintings depicting intimate moments of motherhood.
